Meet The Founder
Natasha Rashid - Co Founder
Driven by her love for sarees and a desire to bring their beauty and elegance back into the spotlight, Natasha took a bold risk. She started traveling across India—to Rajasthan, Gujarat, Banaras and Chennai—exploring various types of handloom sarees, understanding their intricacies, and connecting with artisans.
Despite having no prior experience in the industry, Natasha entered the saree business with a clear mission: to make these beautiful handloom creations accessible to everyone.
“The idea is to reach out to the community, to show what handloom sarees are, and how they can be worn for any occasion, be it festivals or office,”
says Natasha- Co Founder (Nivaha Creations)
Amrita Singh - Co Founder
After nearly five years in the corporate world as an IT engineer, NIT. Amrita found herself yearning for something more. Despite the stability of her career, a voice inside her kept pushing for change, for something deeper and more meaningful. That’s when she made the bold decision to step into the unknown and embark on her entrepreneurial journey.
Amrita has always been an observer, captivated by the beauty in life’s smallest details—how everything around us is so intricately connected. This fascination with the simple yet profound led her to the world of handlooms. There’s something truly magical about handmade products—the care, the time, and the tradition woven into every thread. Although she had no prior experience in this industry, she felt a deep connection to it. It was a risk, but one she was ready to take.
The Blossoming Friendship
Amrita and Natasha’s friendship blossomed during their time working together in a corporate office. Bonded by their shared love for art, culture, and handmade creations, they quickly realized they both yearned for something more meaningful—something that would allow them to make a difference in the world around them. Their late-night discussions, filled with dreams and aspirations, often turned to the vibrant world of Indian craftsmanship, where artisans poured their heart and soul into every piece they created.
Through these deep conversations about life and creativity, the idea for Nivaha Creations was born. Their shared vision wasn’t just to start a business; it was a heartfelt mission to celebrate India’s rich heritage and craftsmanship while supporting local artisans who struggled to find their place in a fast-paced market. They believed that everyone deserves access to beautifully crafted products, and they were determined to make quality sarees and handmade creations available at affordable prices.
Together, they took a leap of faith, transforming their friendship into a partnership driven by passion and purpose. With every saree they created and every artisan they collaborated with, they felt a deep connection to the stories and traditions behind the craft. Their journey was not just about business; it was about empowerment, connection, and bringing joy to the lives of those who wore their creations. As founders, they believe in the power of community, and they strive to make each piece a testament to the beauty of human creativity and the spirit of togetherness.
